A sneaker washing bag does one job well: it holds each shoe in a soft, padded pocket so your washing machine can do the agitating instead of your hands and a brush.
1. Check the care label and prep
Confirm the manufacturer allows machine washing. Knock off loose dirt, remove laces and insoles, and give the outsole a quick dry brush so grit does not travel into the machine.
2. Zip one shoe into each bag
Place one shoe in the bag, close the zipper fully, and tuck it under the protective flap. Laces and insoles can go in a separate laundry bag.
3. Gentle cold cycle, then air dry
Run a cold, gentle or delicate cycle with a mild detergent. Adding a couple of towels helps balance the load. Air dry away from direct heat — skip the dryer unless the shoe maker says it is safe.
